If you ask which one is better between Vitamix a3500 vs a2500, I will tell you that the Vitamix A2500 is the best. Will you wonder why, right? This article will review and compare the two to tell you why.
The Vitamix A3500 and A2500 are very similar blenders but they still have some minor differences that are enough to make the A3500 become the winner. The A3500 has more presets that make blending a breeze. Also, unlike the A2500, the A3500’s timer is programmable, so you won’t have to watch your blender and stop it manually when it’s done.
Even though Vitamix A2500 came in runner-up, It doesn’t mean it isn’t worth buying. In terms of blending, it performs as well as the A3500. It is not as convenient as the A3500, but, of course, it will be cheaper. Therefore, If you are on a budget, don’t need the extra presets, and don’t mind controlling more manually, the A2500 might be better.

Vitamix A3500 vs A2500: Differences
The Final Winner: Vitamix A3500 (3-1)
The A3500 has more presets, and its digital timer is more convenient than the A2500. Furthermore, the A3500 has a touchscreen that gives it a sleeker appearance and easier control. Meanwhile, the A2500 is lighter.
1. Presets
The Winner: Vitamix A3500
I know that many people are not an expert on blending, I even sometimes have some hassle in controlling the blenders. Thankfully, both blenders have preset buttons that make everything more convenient and easier, but they are slightly different in the number of presets. The Vitamix A2500 has three presets: smoothies, hot soups, and frozen dessert. On the other hand, the Vitamix A3500 has five. The two extra are dips & spreads and self-cleaning.
In fact, you can still use these 2 presets, as well as lots of other presets if you control the blender via APP because both machines are compatible with Vitamix Blending App. But the availability on the interface will be much more convenient than taking time to connect to the App.
In terms of convenience, I am sure that Vitamix A3500 will be better.
2. Digital Timer
The Winner: Vitamix A3500
Both Vitamix A3500 and A2500 have a digital timer. But, again, they do not the same.
The A3500’s timer functions like a stopwatch, so just set the speed and let it run. Furthermore, we can completely control the blending process on the A3500 thanks to the programmability of the timer. We can adjust the time up to six and a half minutes. When the blender reaches the set time, it will automatically shut off.
The Vitamix A2500 also comes with a digital timer, but it is not programmable like the A3500. The clock tells you how long the blending process will take. But you will have to watch the blender and stop it when it reaches the desired time.
3. Interface
The Winner: Vitamix A3500
Another difference from that I recommend buying the A3500 instead of the A2500 is the interface.
The Vitamix A3500 has a touchscreen where you can touch to control a blender activity. Do you agree that in this modern world, owning a product with modern features look much more fashionable? It really adds a beautiful and modern look to the blender.
In addition, it is easy to clean. During the preparation or blending process, it is difficult to prevent the kitchen countertop or control panel of the blenders from sticking stains or food particles. To clean this touch screen, just wipe with a soft towel. There will be no stains accumulation.
The Vitamix A2500 does not have a touch screen, instead, you will have to control all activities with a dial and toggle.
One problem that I encountered when using blenders controlled by dials and toggles is that removing the stain is difficult. After a long time, if not carefully cleaned, it is easy to form the accumulation of stains.
4. Weight
The Winner: Vitamix A2500
Vitamix A3500 weighs 14.92 lbs that is really heavy and bulky in design. Vitamix A2500 is slightly lighter, it weighs 11.86 lbs. In case you often move your blender from one place to another, you should choose a more lightweight blender, the Vitamix A2500.
However, if you don’t have to move the blender around, the weight is not a serious problem.
Vitamix A3500 vs A2500: Similarities
1. Motor Power
These two Vitamix’s motor has the same power. It is 2.2-peak HP that is pretty good for blending. With this power, the two machines can handle almost every ingredient from soft to hard into a consistent result.
2. Self-detect Technology
This Self-detect technology is included in both machines. The machine is able to detect the size of the container placed on the base and automatically adjust blend settings and blending times.
This technology also improves safety while using the blender. It is because unless the container is placed on the base of the machine properly, the machine will not power on.
3. Container, Lid
The Vitamix A3500 and Vitamix A2500 come with one large container that is 64 oz. It feels very well-built, solid and ideal for medium to large batches. So, if you only grind a small number of ingredients almost the time, I will not recommend you choose these two machines. Also, the size of the container can be big for some people.
The lid has clips on each side to ensure it is sealed tight. Since it is clear, you can see what’s happening inside the blender while you are blending, which is an extremely convenient feature. You can even remove the middle part of the lid to add ingredients or use the tamper while blending. To add ingredients or use the amper, you can even remove the middle of the lid while blending. You can also use the removable middle part as a 30ml measuring cup.
4. Clean
I know that the cleaning job is something many people don’t like because cleaning a blender is not as simple as washing a bowl.
Luckily, The Vitamix A3500 and A2500’s cleaning are very easy and require little effort. Cleaning most messes is as simple as rinsing, filling with hot water, and running the container at the highest speed. With the Vitamix A3500, you can only press the button as it has the self-cleaning preset. It’s so cool, right?
If you don’t want to clean them manually, you can toss them in the dishwasher because all the containers, lids and blades are dishwasher-safe.
5. Pulse Function
The two blenders have the pulse function that could blend hard ingredients. For example, blending an ingredient like a nut can be very difficult to get a smooth texture. But thanks to pulse mode, it can be blended completely. This mode also helps you blend faster in some cases.

I am sure you love food. Otherwise, you won’t be here. As a full-time and a part-time chef at a local restaurant, I know my way around food. Ever since I was a young girl, I enjoyed helping my mom in the kitchen.
We would often experiment with the spices, ingredients, and flavors and create great meals for my brothers and dad. Since cocking was my first passion, I decided to go in that direction. I finished culinary school, got my first job, and started developing my skills.
Later when kids came, I had all the liberty in the kitchen to combine some of the unique flavors. A lot of them were a success, but now and there I would make a couple of mistakes.
