Vitamix A2300 Vs 2300i Review: What’s Special Inside These Blenders. Which Have No Significant Differences In The Names?

I get commissions for purchases made through links in this post. Read more

The comparison between Vitamix A2300 vs 2300i succeeded in making me so confused. “So the only difference is the letter “i” on the name? What’s it stand for?”. But, unfortunately, there isn’t too much helpful information that I wish to know from the manufacturer’s website or other e-Commerce on the internet.

By plenty of ways for only discover that purpose, finally, I can help other users who plan to buy a blender have a useful guide or users who are still wondering the question like me before. Honestly, it’s hard to compare them clearly because there aren’t many differences, except the voltage of Vitamix A2300 for the US market while Vitamix A2300i is produced for the international market.

Anyway, I still choose Vitamix A2300. First, its weight is lighter. Is it so funny? But it isn’t the only reason. Despite the similarities, Vitamix users don’t have to deal with many errors like A2300i users do, like turning on the base, and then the screen shows “E17” or “E18”. There is another example: you have one minute before you have to leave for the office, but the detect function takes a long time. I’m sure you would be crazy as hell! So, Vitamix A2300 is a better choice in my opinion.

Vitamix A2300 Vs 2300i: Differences

There aren’t many substantial differences between the Vitamix A2300 and the Vitamix A2300i, but there are two you should be aware of before making a purchase decision. Overall, the Vitamix A2300 is more stable, but they were designed for different markets. As a result, your voltage is the next most important factor.

Voltage

It’s a tie.

Yeah, considering this factor, I found that is no winner here. It simply depends on whether you live in North America or other countries that use 110V and the type of voltage converter you have. American voltage standard is unique when compared with the rest of the world. That’s why Vitamix A2300 is suitable for the US market because its voltage is 110V.

Vitamix A2300 vs A2300i: Container Size

The standard voltage outside North America is 220-230V. What does it mean? There is no difficult complex if you plug a 110V-device in a 220V socket, right? Oh, I bet you need to think that again. If the input current is greater than the standard current of the device, it will cause a fire due to an overload current. More terribly, it’ll burn everything, and the user is included. So, a voltage converter is necessary. But, I’m sure you’ll have to deal with a new problem.

A suitable voltage converter with an exact origin isn’t cheap, and if you use it for only Vitamix A2300, it is such a waste. While using a cheaper one is like playing a dangerous game, Vitamix A2300i seems better for your safety and your blender’s age.

Durability

The winner: Vitamix A2300

As a user who has used it for a while, Vitamix A2300 is a well-produced product. It is still working well after nearly two years of use and has become my favorite one. Although sometimes it became a mess because the self-detect technology wasted my time, I can’t deny that this blender is a multi-supplied device.

About Vitamix A2300i, yes, it is really a robust blender as A2300 does with many interesting modern functions. But this product seems to have more errors. As I mentioned previously, E17 and E18 are common errors, which appear for no reason just after a few weeks using. Self-detect technology has its issue, too. It takes far too long for the base to determine the size of a container, or the base suddenly stops working, and you have to use a replacement jar instead.

Vitamix A2300 Vs 2300i: Similarities

Both blenders meet each other in many ways, and it’s so easy to understand why.

Power

In Vitamix advertisement, the A2300i motor base has 2.3 HP. But I feel that doesn’t create any big differences.

Vitamix A2300i: Blender base

Both blenders have sturdy and strong motor bases, which can blend everything with no problems. I’m totally satisfied with their blending results, which are smooth and grainless. The most wonderful thing I experienced both is that they didn’t create any awful noises. Not the most softly, but I’m sure they’re above the medium. The bases, sharp blades, and stainless parts, are all combined together perfectly.

Control/ Settings

+10 Variable Control and Pulse Switch:

This function allows you to be proactive in choosing your speed, saving you time and effort by changing the speed depending on how much time and consistency you need.

For more effectiveness, just select the Pulse switch on the opposite side of the Turn on/off switch. It’s a beneficial way to shorten the blending time as much as I want.

Besides that standard function, these two products also have all the Ascent series’s smart features.

+Self-detect Technology:

This technology helps you to detect which container is on the bottom and adjust the blend settings accordingly. Honestly, it’s the most intelligent feature. All Vitamix needs to do is improve further because this function is still far from perfect. No one wants to waste their time instead of having fun while enjoying delicious smoothies, right?

+Digital Timer:

You can check the time for each recipe, thanks to the Digital timer. It automatically turns on by the time you start to blend.

Utilities

+Wireless Connectivity:

Both blenders can be used with the Vitamix Perfect Blend App, which includes 17 programs and over 500 recipes. Thanks to this feature, anyone can easily make a great smoothie, hot soup, or whatever dessert they desire. Simply wait and use a click-through app on your smartphone.

+Warranty:

Yes, these two have even a 10-year-full warranty, longer than any brand in the market. Amazing! With the $500 I spent, I think this was a great deal, and it improves my confidence so much when purchasing and then using.
