While both are outstanding blenders for everyday use, between the Vitamix 7500 vs V1200, the winner is the latter. It has far better features for making different kinds of recipes for either one person or a whole family.
Because it features 3 blending jars, I find it more convenient than the Vitamix 7500 which features only a single 64-ounce jar. The Vitamix V1200 comes with a 64-ounce jar and a smaller 20-ounce and 8-ounce jar with auto-detect technology.
It also features a digital timer that lets me control the time of blending. Personally, it’s more convenient because I tend to follow recipes and the timer helps me control the texture and achieve the results I want.
The Vitamix 7500, on the other hand, is not a bad choice at all. Only that it’s limited to what the V1200 can offer. The 7500 features a large blending capacity, 10 variable speeds, and a powerful 2.2 HP motor. So it is quite dependable and sturdy on its own.

Vitamix 7500 vs V1200: Differences
The Vitamix V1200 is the winner here (2 – 0) with more blending jars, a digital timer, and a 10-year warranty. Even though it shares the same 10 speed variable, 2.2 HP motor, and superior design quality as the Vitamix 7500. It has a few more advantages that the Vitamix 7500 doesn’t.
1. Controls / Programmability
The Winner: Vitamix V1200
+Blending Containers
In comparison to the 7500 that offers only a single blending jar of 64 ounces, the V1200 is more versatile as it offers 3 jars. Starting with the same 64-ounce blender jar followed by 20-ounces and 8-ounces. All these blending jars come with ‘SELF-DETECT’ technology which allows seamless blending.
The motor detects the size of the blender when you replace it and adjusts the speed accordingly. So a small jar won’t be as overpowered by the blending speed as a 64-ounce blender jar.
Since the size of the blending vary, the motor also adjusts its speed, automatically, to make most adaptable and effective.
The 8-ounce blender is in a bowl shape rather than a jar. And the 20-ounce blender is more cup-shaped than anything else which makes personal blending quick and easy.
The shape of the blender jar of the 64-ounce container is not too tall. It’s wide and sits conveniently on the motor base without taking up room. While it’s easier to keep the 7500 on kitchen countertops due to its convenient size, something that is the same in the V1200 as it is 0.5 inches shorter than the 7500, but I still prefer the V1200 because of its wider selection of blending capacities.
It’s suited for blending recipes in bigger portions, perhaps for a large family, but it can also be used by individual members, for personal-sized servings, at any given time. On the 64-ounce container of the Vitamix 7500, this might be a problem!
2. Utilities
The Winner: Vitamix V1200
+Digital Timer
The digital timer is a must-have in a blender this powerful and versatile. With the help of a timer, you know exactly how long you’ve been blending to achieve the ideal texture. For me, this comes in handy when I’m, say, following a recipe meticulously so as not to spoil the texture of the dish.
For recipes like nut butter, batters, and dough, when the texture of the food is very delicate, a timer is all I use to make sure I get it right.
Unfortunately, the Vitamix 7500 does not feature a digital timer. So you’ll need to buy, separately, a kitchen timer for assistance when you need it. Or you can use the timer on your smartphone! But yes, that’s an effort that you have to make but with the V1200, that’s not necessary at all.
There is a ‘plus’ and ‘minus’ button right next to the timer display that allows you to adjust the timer settings accurately.
+Warranty
Warranty is very important for any kitchen appliance, especially for a blender to last for a very long time. And a long-term warranty guarantees that without any fuss or inconvenience.
The Vitamix V1200 features a 10-year warranty on all its parts and important features. The Vitamix 7500 offers protection on all its parts and functionality as well but only as long as 7 years.
So you’re missing out on 3 years of warranty on the 7500. Though you can buy an extended 3- or 4-year warranty protection for more money which amounts to the same price as the V1200.
Vitamix 7500 vs V1200: Similarities
1. 64-Ounce Blender Jar
Both blenders feature the same 64-ounce blender jar, even though the V1200 features 2 more blending capacities. The 64-ounce jar is the highest blending capacity of both the Vitamix 7500 vs V1200. This means it’s a perfect fit for large use. You can blend large batches of food in less time than a food processor. This includes making hot soup, butter, kneading dough, batter, and so on.
2. BPA-Free Plastic
All the blender jars of the 7500 and V1200 are made from BPA-free plastic. This means they are easier to clean and maintain. And they won’t deteriorate in quality even after prolonged use.
The plastic is also heat-resistant which means that blending hot soups is not a problem. The fast stainless steel blades create friction that ensures the hot soup creates its own natural steam while blending.
Standard plastic is bound to emit a foul odor or look stained after coming into contact with steam for a prolonged period of time. But not with the BPA-free plastics. They do not emit toxic chemicals or odor into the food. So you can feel rest assured that all your meals are healthy and wholesome.
3. 10 Variable Speeds
The crowning achievement of most Vitamix blenders is that they offer 10 variable speeds for intricate control. That’s why these blenders are so much better than food processors. You can control the consistency and texture of the blend at the turn of a knob.
The rotary dial sits in the center of the control panel so it’s easy to access. And it won’t collect dust but you will need to wipe the whole surface of the panel once or twice a week. Depending on how often you use the blender.
4. Motor
Vitamix 7500 vs V1200 features the same powerful 2.2 HP motor. So it punches the same blending power at the touch of a button. The motors are protected with a cooling fan and thermal sensor.
The cooling fan ensures a smooth and comfortable blending environment. If you’ve used average blenders before, you know how the exterior slowly turns warm when you’re blending for a long time. But that’s not the case with these blenders. They stay cool and you can grip the exterior without feeling the motor’s heat.
But, hypothetically, the motor does start to run hot. There’s a thermal sensor in place that will detect this and turn off the blender immediately. It’s a safety feature that most Vitamix blenders have. These two blenders are no exception.

I am sure you love food. Otherwise, you won’t be here. As a full-time and a part-time chef at a local restaurant, I know my way around food. Ever since I was a young girl, I enjoyed helping my mom in the kitchen.
We would often experiment with the spices, ingredients, and flavors and create great meals for my brothers and dad. Since cocking was my first passion, I decided to go in that direction. I finished culinary school, got my first job, and started developing my skills.
Later when kids came, I had all the liberty in the kitchen to combine some of the unique flavors. A lot of them were a success, but now and there I would make a couple of mistakes.
